Since I started my youtube channel, I have wanted to make a styling video on the world famous Patiala Suit. The colours and the design make this suit a very unique Indian wear! And when one of my loving subscribers left a comment asking to style this Suit, I couldn’t resist making a short video!
Styling a Patiala Suit
Patiala suits mostly come in sets. Meaning you get a short kurta top, a complementing Patiala salwar and a beautifully decorated chunni. So, the styling is mostly limited to the choice of jewellery, footwear and bag.
But, in cases where you live in a place where Patiala suit sets are not readily available, you can always mix and match, to create your own, as I have done with this outfit!
This outfit I am wearing is a beautiful floral print summer-appropriate sharara set, that I flipped into a Patiala suit by switching to the famous Patiala pant. When choosing a pant always go with a contrasting colour to the top to bring out the beauty of the outfit!
Although, dainty jewellery is something you can always wear, I highly recommend combining Patiala pants with beautiful Indian jewellery. As it adds to the beauty of the outfit and honours the root and traditions of the Punjabi people.
