Listen! Tell me something first. Are you a fellow K-Drama nut? Yes?! Me too! I love K-dramas and I have been watching them since 2007! Yes, it has been that long. And any K-drama nut would know what a great place the world of K-drama is for the fashion enthusiast! My personal fashion moments from the K-Drama world have been adorned by two of my favourite characters, one being Ku Moon Young from the drama ‘It’s OK Not to Be OK’ and Seo Dan from ‘Crash Landing on You’. If I were a K-Drama character, however, then this is hands down the kind of outfits I would wear on the show! Sophistication, modesty, modernity and class being the keywords!
So, I bought this Machine cut, see-through, fiery red placket blouse somewhere in August of 2023! Lol! Yes, I should have posted it way before. Initially, I had plans of styling this blouse with black wide-leg trousers! But for some reason, I just couldn’t buy the idea of something so beautiful going with a plain wide-leg trouser. So, then I thought of styling it with my choice of clothing for all occasions, treggings! But again I just couldn’t see the sophistication I wanted to see in combination with a tregging. Something that kept striking me was definitely the sleeves! The bell at the end adds it the sophistication this blouse exsudes!
My fashionista brain kept on equating it to a mermaid skirt. And the moment it flashed, I just knew I had to style it with a mermaid skirt. Ironically enough I was thinking of styling it with something I had never bought in the first place. When I went on a hunt through the internet trying to find the perfect mermaid skirt, to my surprise, I found none! Not one website around 7 months back had a mermaid skirt listed on their store. I searched so much to no avail. But later that same year, about a month later around the beginning months of winter I saw this beautiful mermaid skirt in knit listed on Urbanic in several different colours. I personally loved the beige and pink mermaid skirts but went for the black one as I wanted to style it with this red placket blouse! Also, since it’s neutral, I thought it would be a better option as it would combine with many more tops.
Even after having all the elements of the outfit ready, for some reason, I kept on delaying shooting this outfit. But now when I look back I can see why I had to wait. This outfit although is a great one, wouldn’t come anywhere near becoming a Kdrama outfit if it wasn’t for that sleek-looking bag from Miraggio! It adds that extra hint of sophistication and class that I was looking for in this outfit! It just elevates it to a whole other level without a doubt!
And like I always say, an outfit is never complete without the right accessories. The right accessories take an outfit from 10 to 11 real quick. It adds character and helps bring out who you are. I obviously had to make this outfit uniquely me and hence the golden accents to make it rich! I also stacked some rings from Lily & sparkle to add definition to the over all look. And it was pretty much down. Well, at least I thought so until I hopped into my court heels because it was only then was the outfit completely came together. All in all this outfit literally screams me. I don’t think there has ever been an outfit that has described me better than this one. This is by far my favourite outfit I have put together. I hope you liked my A K-Drama Character look just as much as I did. I will be back with yet another look really soon. Until then you know the drill, stay healthy & stay stylish! ❤️
