I’m Tahlia, a dentist turned fashion blogger, style explorer, creative writer, and YouTuber. Born in the serene Malnad region of Southern Karnataka and now based in Bengaluru, I create work that lives at the intersection of art and intellect.

MY STORY

I’m Dr B N Priyanka Suraj, professionally known as Tahlia Suraj. I’m a dentist turned fashion blogger, style explorer, creative writer, poet and YouTuber. Born in the serene Malnad region of Southern Karnataka and now based in Bengaluru, I create work that lives at the intersection of art and intellect.

I started my first website during the pandemic in 2020 as a passion project. I had always wanted to blog, and at the time, I began writing about health, given the global situation and the growing need for consultation and counseling. Being a dentist, that made sense to me, and like any beginner, I believed it would grow quickly. It didn’t. But the deeper I delved, the more I realized how much I loved creating, something I had long forgotten I could do since starting dentistry.

After that first failed site, I began writing again. I knew I wanted to write, but I wasn’t sure what about. The people around me, who often noticed my sense of style and lean frame, encouraged me to pursue fashion or modeling, and I slowly found my way here. Although I had always been interested in it, taking up fashion as a career and stepping away from dentistry isn’t what I had planned for me at all!

Over time, as I kept creating, I found meaning through my work, and it grew into something deeply personal.

I now see this blog as a medium of expression, a place where I can connect with people from across the globe who share similar interests and values. I hope my words bring you meaning, and my visuals bring a sense of calm and beauty to your life in this rather chaotic and sometimes overwhelming world.
