Wide-leg jeans are the new skinny jeans! If I remember correctly, when skinny jeans came to the market, pretty much everyone went crazy over them! It was one of those times when 9 out of 10 people on the streets wore skinny jeans over any other style of pants! But with the Gen-Z era, we can see that skinny jeans are now rapidly being replaced by wide-leg baggy pants!
Whether it’s a comfort choice or a massive K-pop influence, this is something for fashion historians to deliberate on! For today’s post let’s focus on uncovering how I put this outfit together, and what are alternative ways to wear these Sassafrass denim. I will also share with you a little hack on how to fix loose-waisted jeans without sewing!
How to tighten jeans waist without sewing!
If you have watched my previous video on how to tighten jeans to the waist, you probably already know about the invisible belt! But this hack is for those people that don’t like wearing belts and want to tighten the waist of their jeans without sewing or a belt!
This hack is also really simple. All you need is a clip-on button and the jeans waist will be fixed in no time. Last time on my blog I shared about the waist extenders which can be used to tighten any pants! If you have not read that post, click here to read it. If you have read it and already have waist extenders then you do not need to spend any money again. Just grab hold of one of those button clip-ons and pin it next to your jeans’s button depending on how tight you want your jeans to be. Wear your jeans normally as you would wear and you are through! Watch the hack here again.
Styling the denim!
Since this denim look is mainly a Gen-Z patented look. I thought it was best to style them while keeping them in mind! Since crop tops are also something the Gen-Z like, I paired these Sassafrass wide-leg blue jeans with a pink polka dot one-shouldered crop top to balance the bagginess of the jeans! And obviously, it looked good together since blue and pink as we all know is a match made in heaven!
To complete this look, keeping the Gen-Z code of ‘comfort over anything else’ in mind, I choose a clean pair of white sneakers. Finally, I wore white hoop earrings and picked up my most used white mini bag from Mesmerise India to complete the look and got going!
Where can I wear this outfit?
- To your college (If one-shoulder crop tops are in your dress code)
- Movie night
- Street shopping
- Food tour
