“…and suit up!” Remember this dialogue? Barney Stinson’s suit up dialogue from HIMYM will echo through history for just how Iconic it is! But in this blog post we aren’t suiting up to look like Barney Stinson. We are suiting up to be more casual than formal and more summer appropriate. Because it’s getting hotter day after day and it is certainly becoming unbearable. So here’s my take on a more casual suit up style. One that’s appropriate for work and even for daily errands when you want to look powerful and fancy.

So basically this outfit is styled around this rather affordable pant suit set from littlebox. It is wide legged and gen-z styled. To be honest when I wore these pants, at first I was like why would anyone design a pant like this. You see, I prefer longer pants that look more sophisticated. But I wore it anyway to see how the look would turn out.

I first started by sandwiching my old H&M vest top. Remember them going mad viral last year same season? Well, it was all for the right season! This vest top is literally the best one can wear for this burning summer. It looks modern and fetch! (He he. Yes, I quoted Gretchen)

Although the outfit was looking put together it wasn’t until I donned on my signature jewellery that this outfit was made. You know me! I love chunky rings. And I know for a fact that the right jewellery makes or breaks the outfit. It adds so much character and speaks volumes about who we are. Once I wore the jewellery, I was no longer hating on the pants. It suddenly made sense. And I went from who made these pants to I love these pants real quick.

But when it came to picking footwear. I did not go for my signature heels. Instead I picked these white sneakers that, by the way are the best for wide leg pants! I did this for a more casual look. One that not just says, ‘oh! I know my style and I am totally in my element’ but also says, ‘I may look stylish but boy I am approachable!’ And this sneakers totally made justice to the idea.

However, in any case, this outfit wouldn’t be half as good if it weren’t for that spring bag that I bought from Ginger years ago! That just puts everything into perspective. It’s summery, pretty and hella spacious. And I love this bag. It brings everything together.
